Level VII/VIII

Ballet & Pointe

Level VII/VIII is an advanced ballet technique class for experienced dancers who are ready for a higher level of classical ballet training. Students will refine their technique through challenging barre and center work while continuing to develop strength, flexibility, precision, and artistry. Emphasis is placed on mastering advanced movements and combinations while building the technical proficiency and performance quality needed for continued growth as a ballet dancer.

• Placement: Determined by instructors
• Pointe Work: Students are encouraged to wear their pointe shoes during class as appropriate for their training and instructor guidance
• Class Duration: 1.5 hours
• It is recommended that dancers at this level take 4 ballet classes per week.
• BRBT Company members are required to take at least 4 ballet classes per week.
• Pointe C is for advanced dancers who have at least 2 years of training en pointe (1 hour class)

Jazz, Leaps, & Turns

This class focuses on jazz technique, leaps, and turns to help dancers develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and control. Dancers will work on improving their technique and execution while building skills that are valuable for dance team performances and musical theater choreography.

Uniform

Girls

• Black leotard and matching skirt
• Pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes
• Pink tights
• Hair should be slicked back away from the face into a bun

Boys

• Black ballet tights
• White fitted t-shirt
• Black ballet shoes
